At their 2021 General Assembly, the respekt vintners decided to posthumously award their companion and teacher Andrew Lorand an honorary membership. Andrew supported and advised the respekt group intensively in all biodynamic matters, especially in the early years.

„Andrew Lorand opened up the world of biodynamics to us, often with great humour, but at the same time with great seriousness about what is important. His enormous technical expertise and especially his infectious enthusiasm made every hour we spent with him an unforgettable experience.“

Andrew C. Lorand – Zur Person

In the early 1990s, he specialised in viticulture. Until his untimely death in 2017, he was a teacher and consultant for many renowned biodynamic wineries in Europe. Andrew Lorand's work is continued by his wife Kathi Lorand.
